On 27-30 May 2014 the fourth European Lab Forum will take place. This event is organized every year in parallel to Nuits sonores festival in Lyon (Rhône-Alpes, France) by Arty Farty, a non-profit organization of European cultural engineering, a leader in innovation, creation and culture. This year three networks (Culture Action Europe, Eurocities, and us, UCLG – Agenda 21 for Culture) will join with the European Lab to reflect collectively on the role of culture in Europe and the cities of tomorrow.
The European Lab Forum seeks to reinvent European cultural models and policies, to reignite culture for younger generations, to close territorial, social and generational gaps, to go beyond institutional conservatism and to ensure and rethink the way we use and distribute the resources for culture.
The opening conference of the Forum, a working session and networking moments will question new strategies of local cultural policies and how to adapt them to the needs of a new generation of cultural professionals in Europe. Our delegation in the Forum will be chaired by Clarisa Ruiz-Correal, Vice-mayor on culture of the city of Bogotá (Colombia) and by Jean-Christophe Levassor (TBC), director for culture of Lille-Métropole (France).
