The German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is hosting a celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2018, the European Disability and Development Week 2018, and the launching of a historical Global Compact on Inclusive and Accessible Cities. This historic global compact will gather city leaders and mayors from Amman, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City for a signing ceremony signifying their commitment towards inclusive and accessible cities for persons with disabilities and older persons. This convening and celebration will be live-streamed and will gather leaders in human rights, international development, smart cities, as well as in urban planning, policy, and design.
