The “Dialogue on Migrant Women in Cities” will gather MC2CM and UCLG-CSIPDHR members and other local actors to discuss migrant women’s challenges in urban territories, as well as their interaction with local government policies on migrants’ protection and inclusion. This session will focus on the identification of different areas of policy intervention and will showcase relevant practices. By bringing together different organizations and profiles (elected officials, municipal workers, researchers, CSOs, migrant women organizations), the session will place a strong emphasis on exploring pragmatic responses through enhanced cooperation and dialogue.
This exploratory discussion aims to identify challenges faced by migrant women in Mediterranean territories as well as actors addressing those challenges from different points of view, with particular emphasis on the role of local governments in coordinating and strengthening these efforts.
