United Cities and Local Governments is contributing with two key sessions with the interest of making visible the role of the local governments in the implementation of the Global Agendas, and acceleration of the 2030 Agenda:
The SDG Global Festival of Action will provoke debate and drive action around four cross cutting themes with specific discussions – ideas, approaches and solutions – focused on #TurningItAround for poverty & inequality, gender, climate action and inclusive systems and finance.
This session will be held in the framework of the SDG action zone, which will take place from 22 to 24 September, during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) High Level Week.
The SDG Moment is an annual event mandated by Heads of State and Government in the 2019 SDG Summit political declaration. This meeting will place the Decade of Action to Deliver the SDGs on the agenda of world leaders and key stakeholders during every high-level week between now and 2030.
