Workshop on European local governments for human rights

The workshop on local governments for human rights will be held in Barcelona on 11^th December. This meeting will be organized by the UCLG Committee on Social Inclusion Participatory Democracy and Human Rights at the UCLG headquarters with the support of Barcelona, Plaine Commune and Madrid. It will be held in connection with the International Conference “Cities for Rights”, organized by the City of Barcelona on 10^th and 11^th December.
 
The “Cities for Rights” Conference coincides with the celebration of two important anniversaries. Indeed, 2018 has been marked by the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 20th anniversary of the Barcelona Conference which led to the adoption of the European Charter of Human Rights in the City
