Marking exactly one year before the official opening of the UCLG World Congress in Rabat, UCLG is pleased to announce to its members the launch of its new website, accessible from the 1st October 2012: www.uclg.org
As world-wide network of cities, metropolises, local and regional governments, UCLG has set among its strategic priorities for 2010-2016 to expand its contact base and allow exchanges to develop above and beyond its members.
The new website seeks to respond to this objective by proposing an access adapted to the needs of each user. With a more user-friendly and welcoming layout, the new website is organized into three sections: Organization, Issues and Events.
Accessible and attractive, the new website has been designed to allow for easy and instant access from the homepage to the site’s rich content, now divided into thematic sections detailing all UCLG dossiers: Millennium Goals, Access to Basic Services, Development Cooperation, Decentralization, Lobbying before the United Nations, etc. All UCLG publications will be made available on the website (reports and synthesis, articles, bulletins…) and will be available for download and printing, as well as for sending by mail and sharing through social networks.
Within this new site, you will be able to access more content on:
- The World Organization: its network, structure and members
- The 25 working issues of the Organization, among which the Millennium Development Goals, Decentralisation, Access to basic services, Development Cooperation, etc., as well as access to the top 7 current priority issues directly from the home page.
- A new section dedicated to institutional and private partners of UCLG
- The World Organization’s resources: political proposal documents, publications and videos.
- UCLG Events: World Council 2012 in Dakar and World Congress 2013 Rabat.
