UCLG’s Committee on Decentralisation and Local-Self Government has launched a new issue of the D+ magazine, an own publication distributed in four languages (Catalan, Spanish, English and French) dealing with decentralisation and local governance in the world.
This new edition includes, among other things, articles on local challenges of a new Brazil; the city as a territory for innovation; strategic planning of the international action carried out by European local governments; and reflections on the "Smart City" model. Furthermore, it includes an interview with Bruce Katz, Vice President of the Brookings Institute and the director of the Metropolitan Policy Program as well as an analysis made of the "Metropolitan Revolution", a book written by the same author.
The Committee on Decentralisation and Local-Self Government chaired by the Barcelona Provincial Council undertakes activities and provides different tools in order to support decentralisation and local governance, towards improving the efficiency of local governments around the world. Among these tools relies this publication.
