On behalf of the World Secretariat and our family of local governments across the world, UCLG express our deepest condolences and sympathy to the Mayor of Istanbul and UCLG President, the people of Istanbul and Turkey, and the families of the victims, following the tragic attack in a very popular street of the city.
Again, this terrible news reminds us of the too frequent and heavy price that cities and citizens around the world pay under all forms of terrorism.
We, local and regional governments united in UCLG, condemn these attacks and express our solidarity with the city of Istanbul at this difficult time.
