The Taipei City Government won the Citizen's Choice Award for its “Clean Air — It's Your Move” initiative at the C40 and Siemens City Climate Leadership Awards ceremony in New York on Sept. 22
The award was announced at the C40 and Siemens City Climate Leadership Awards ceremony and recognized Taipei for its “Clean Air—It’s Your Move” initiative. The award is also testament to the efforts of all city residents in maintaining superior air quality.
Taipei City, which was one of the finalists in the Air Quality category, ended up garnering more votes in the Citizen's Choice Award than any of the 30 projects competing for the honor.Beating out 30 projects from 25 cities worldwide, Taipei clinched the honor through majority support in a global online poll. The metropolis was nominated alongside London and Mexico City.
