UCLG launches this thursday, October 15th, its first Massive and Open Online Course (MOOC), based on the 17 Live Learning Experiences (LLE) #BeyondTheOutbreak, organized with UN-Habitat and Metropolis. The LLEs included more than 268 speakers of 97 cities/regions of 50 countries, and highlighted the importance of the local public service delivery during and beyond the pandemics.
The course, organized as a self e-learning format, will focus on eight specific thematic areas such as housing, mobility, digital technologies, migration, culture, local finance, public services and gender. The course will be integrated with the briefings and materials of the LLE and also include video and graphics.
The MOOC, supported by the Barcelona Provincial Council, offers from 02 to 20 hours and is launched in English, French and Spanish on the new Platform #LearningWithUclg UCLG #BeyondTheOutbreak page and on the UCLG Learning website.
As an interactive tool the UCLG #BeyondTheOutbreak MOOC offers quizzes, sharing of members’ opinions on the course through social media networks and online consultation about the future possibilities of Learning online.
