Culture, Agenda 21 for Culture - 20/06/2014
Bilbao has been chosen host city for the first UCLG 2015 Culture Summit during the meeting of the UCLG Executive Bureau held in Liverpool. The UCLG Committee on Culture began the draft of the new Culture Agenda 21 in 2013 in Lille, Buenos Aires and Rabat, and will continue in 2014 through meetings, seminars, articules, questionaires and visits to the pilot cities. The BT Global City Leaders Summit began on Wednesday 18th with more than 200 city and regional leaders of local governments from around the world – United Cities and Local Governments members and leaders – who were gathered in Liverpool’s to discuss how they can generate sustainable economic growth in times of austerity. UCLG presented its Annual Activity Report for the period 2013 at the meeting of the Executive Bureau in Liverpool on 19th June 2014. The Report compiles all the activities carried out by the World Organization during 2013 and aims to present the work accomplished by the Sections of our global network.
